Movement & Mantra

In this 5-week course, we will combine movement and mantra to find greater strength and flexibility in the body and a sense of calm focus in the mind. The yoga classes will be taught in the Hatha/Tantra tradition and include mantra meditation.

Chanting mantra (a sound, phrase or affirmation) is a powerful meditation technique. The repetition provides a useful anchor for the busy mind and helps to cultivate concentration. The vibrational qualities of the sounds themselves also have the capacity to positively influence the physical body and unconscious mind. It is not important to be able to sing or hold a tune when chanting mantra. Just find your voice and let the sound wash over you!
